The goal of Eagles Mentorship is to help all grade 9s have a smooth and positive transition to high school.
The Eagles Mentorship program is intended to extend the connections that were made at Camp Eagle and will include every grade 9 and senior students who go through the application process to be mentors. Each mentor will have a group of approximately six grade 9s that they will make an effort to connect with in various school environments and during our monthly mentorship sessions. The senior student mentors will be role models for the grade 9s, and will be another resource for them that can answer their questions, encourage their involvement in school activities and increase their opportunities for success.
How to Apply
Research shows that mentorship has a beneficial impact on both the mentor and the mentee. By becoming a mentor, you will make a positive impact on a younger student's high school experience and you will enrich your own skills in communication, relationship building and leadership.
If you are interested in becoming an Eagles Mentor, please fill out the online application though the link below. If you are selected to be an Eagles Mentor, you will be given a contract and a teacher referral form in September. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. LeBeau at Christine.LeBeau@dsbn.org.
