Rowing:  You have all been waiting for it!  Eagles ROWING will be starting the first week of November.  You know you want to try it - rowing is the best sport in the world!"  All new and returning athletes should pick up an information package asap from Ms. Coppinger in room 305.

Remind App:  Attention all Eagles! Please sign-up for the GSS remind app; there is a remind set up for each grade.  You can find the code on the school’s Website, Facebook page, Twitter, and posted under the TV in main ro.  So, sign up and stay up to date with all activities at GSS!

Mathletes:  Attention all Mathletes!!  Math club starts TODAY!!  Come today at lunch for some problem solving and math fun!  oom 205.All are welcome!  e there or be square (or a nonagon)!

Winter Formal:  Get dressed up and join us November 22nd at this year’s formal.  You have until November 11th to purchase your ticket on student cash online.  If you are bringing a guest, buy their ticket online and sign a form in the main office  .Hope to see you there!

Hallowe’en Dance:  The Hallowe’en dance is on Thursday October 25th from 6-9pm.  et creative and wear your costumes to this year’s dance.  Bring your student ID card and $9 to join us on the dance floor.  If you’re going to be later than 7:30, make sure to inform the office.

Spirit Event:  On Monday October 29th, we will have pumpkin carving in the caf for only $5.  Choose a group of 4 and sign up in the caf by Friday to carve a pumpkin!

Grad’s:  Good morning grade 12 students.  Don’t forget to buy your grad hoodie for $65 on student cash online.  You have until October 31st.

Food Drive:  Hey Eagles!!It’s that time of year again – the We Scare Hunger Food Drive!  Did you know that 850,000 people turn to food drives each month in Canada?  Hunger is a ginormous issue in our country and participating in the We Scare Hunger Food Drive would most definitely make a difference.  This week, please bring in any canned food item, toiletry or personal hygiene item you wish to donate.  Thank you for your participation and for being part of the change!

University Visit:  A representative from Niagara University in New York will be in room 104 at 11:45 today.  If you are in grade 11 or 12 and are interested in attending Niagara University, bring your lunch and join in the presentation.  This is a great opportunity to ask questions.

Parking:  Any students with parking passes from last year, need to come down to the office to complete a new form.

Athletic Council:  Just a reminder to any Athletic Council members who are available to finalize Intramurals, we have a meeting in the Health room during period 3 Tuesday October 23rd.

Sr Reach:  The Senior Reach Team will practice on Tuesday at lunch in room 204.  All seniors are welcome!

Field Hockey:  A big congratulations to the girls’ field hockey team for making t to the SOSSA zone final!  They came out victorious in a hard-fought battle with Beamsville.  Unfortunately, we lost to a strong Eden squad in the finals but have had a tremendous season.  Congrats girls!  See you next year!

Chess Team:  On Friday the chess team traveled to A.N. Myer for our second chess tournament.  It was a resounding success.  All team members did well with wins and draws.  When you see members of the chess team in the hallways and classroom, send your support and congratulations.

IMPACT:  Attention to all grade 9 students that are interested in participating in the IMPACT program.  All permission forms are due to Mrs. Putzman by this Wednesday if you want to be registered in the program!

Jr Boys Volleyball:  Would staff please dismiss members of the Jr. Boys’ Volleyball team today at 2:10 for their game at Smithville.
